Jury Duty

so I got Jury Duty for Queens County Criminal. I got there before 9AM (still later than a normal day at City Spec) and I spent almost the entire time readying my book, 1984, fantastic book, worth rereading. No one asked me any questions or anything like that. Now I have to come back Tuesday at 1oAM, but this time they will be asking questions. I think I will get dismissed because the case is about attempted robbery and assault, and I was mugged when I was younger. If I won't get rejected I stand to be on Jury Duty for 7 to 10 business days, I am not really looking forward to that. I am hoping Wednesday I will be able to start work, although it would be shitty considering that Wednesday there is going to be a big meeting at the office.

I stopped by the old office today, to pick up my check, and wouldn't you know it! That was when they started using the new access cards for the building! All this talk before hand of this being installed, and always seeming like such BS, they finally installed, activated and distributed the damn things. Its like a sick joke is what it is. Also, I think they changed the security crew, AGAIN, maybe the 4th time in 4 years. Possibly more than the 4th. And Elly didn't pay my ticket, I think thats fair, considering I didn't buy her index number that day. Well, she wished me the best and that I eventually get into law school.

Speaking of tickets, I just remembered I need to move my car in the morning to avoid another ticket. Gonna try to park on a Monday side of the street, might need the car to go to work one of these days!
